Total Eye Candy

| | Comments (1)
So last year right before the Super Bowl, I treated myself to a brand new Samsung 50" Plasma. This was to replace my older Sony 27" Trinitron TV and to prepare for DirecTV's year of HD. Oh man, if you haven't seen a Hockey or Football game in HD, you have to. It's just pure bliss.

Well this year, my awesome wife surprised me by giving me my Birthday and Christmas present early. Now I had been planning on getting one next year when Gran Turismo HD comes out, but she beat me too it. I am now a proud owner of a Sony Playstation 3 80Gig (Blu-ray drive too).

Now let me get to the Eye Candy part. When you mix a HD TV, with a Blu-ray drive and a Blu-ray movie (Cars from Netflix) you will understand.

This is just too good to pass up.

And if you like that one, you'll love this one.

I'm calling Santa

Any parent out there that wants to use this, please do so. The technique is simple but effective.

The other day my two wonderful, corporative, never do anything wrong kids wouldn't leave each other alone. They kept on bugging the heck out of each other and my wife and I just couldn't get them to "quit it". So I whip out my kick ass BlackBerry 8310 phone and proceed to call Santa. "That's it!" I said, "I'm calling Santa to tell him to skip our house this year." My kids went instantly quiet. I went on to tell him that my kids weren't acting nice and that we can do without this year. I went on to tell Santa that I'll call him back if things change. During this whole "conversation" my kids watched me without blinking. They couldn't believe that dad had the direct line into the big man. When I hung up, I told them that they have a little time before the cutoff date to change their tune.

Good news. The next day I picked up Whitney's play phone and made the call into the big man again to put a good word in for them. Again, they were amazed that I was talking to Santa.

From our family to yours, have a Merry Christmas!

Fred Thompson you've let me down

For years now I have been wondering who would be the GOP candidate for the upcoming '08 elections. I'd always guess that McCain would jump in, but I really don't think he has the personality to really be a great President. I think he has some great visions on how to handle Iraq, but the overall package is somewhat lacking. I'd always been hoping that Fred Thompson would consider running and when he finally announced his candidacy I was super stoked. Yes he was a little late, but I think he had what it would take to become the next President of the United States. The fiscal conservative and small government ideas really play well with me. Well, Fred has somewhat stumbled out of the gate and I think it has to do with the fact that his people were really playing him up that he was the "chosen one" and that he was expecting the nomination to be given to him. I don't think he pressed hard enough and the poll numbers show that today. You let me down Fred. I think you've missed your opportunity.

We need to find someone that will lead this country for the next 4 years and that can't be a Democrat!

Okay... After listening to the newest song from Carlos Santana I really need to learn how to play the guitar.. Check it out.

If anyone has some suggestions on where to start I really would love to be able to play at 1/10 the skill of that man.
