TV: August 2007 Archives
So some of you know that I live close to Modesto, CA. It was a place that was somewhat close to the Bay Area where we could buy a BIG house. We really love it there, but one of the major shortcomings is the lack good radio stations. Sure we have our share of a Top 20 station and a "classic" rock station, but what they call radio stations just don't cut it for me. I miss the likes of KFOG, KFOX, Live 105, etc. I can sometimes catchup on the new music scene when I commute into work, but I only get an hour or so here and there.
Sure I get some new suggestions from friends and Yahoo Music Unlimited, but I have to confess that I have another way to what is going on in the music industry.
It's called, Nick at Night and......... Laguna Beach and The Hills. This is classic TV drama, but the folks at MTV that produce these shows really know how to product a show with great music. You get to hear new artists before they hit the airwaves.
I also have to give props to Grey's Anatomy for their use of new artists. I can wait for the fall season to start.
Oh yes, if you have anything good, send it my way. Latest finds.. Stereophonics and The Postal Service.
